Originally founded by Nancy Murphy-Chadwick in 1980 at Texas Woman’s University; SWACUHO-U has evolved from a one day drive in workshop focused on supervisory skills to become a two day new professional success workshop.

SWACUHO-U provides a highly selective cohort based professional development experience for professionals with two years or less full-time experience. Participants engage with peers and experienced colleagues to gain skills and competencies needed to be successful as they grow in the profession. Each year the SWACUHO Professional Development Committee selects focus topics, connected with the ACUHOI Competencies, intended to support new professional success.
